Indications: This remedy should be carried in one’s handbag at all times as it is the ideal emergency treatment for any shock situation e.g. accidents, emotional upset, grief. It will deal with both the physical trauma / shock and the emotional aspect of being in an accident. It has also been very useful in drug withdrawal programs e.g. coming off sleeping tablets or quitting smoking.

Excellent for the effects of fright or shock, when this shock may induce extreme anxiety, fear and restlessness. The patient is oversensitive to noise (startled easily) and pain. Very useful for panic attacks, fear of flying, crowds, claustrophobia. |
| Arnica montana |
Traumatic remedy par exellence for any shock or trauma of both mind and body; trauma of overstrain mentally and physically; trauma of grief. Patient typically says "I'm fine, I just want to go home" after an accident when really are badly shocked or injured. |
| Hypericum perforatum |
"Arnica of the nerves" for anxiety, nervous depression and fright; repairs and restores frayed nerves, irritability. |
| Ignatia amara |
Excellent remedy for grief; useful in hysteria, fright, worry from an emotional state; extreme mood changes. |
| Opium |
Conditions resulting from fright and shock; physical, mental and emotional shock; fainting; patient seems dazed; loss of consciousness. |
| Passiflora incarnata |
Quietens the nervous system; useful in emotional upset, hysteria, convulsions, delirium tremens and manic conditions. |
| Rescue Remedy |
Contains the Bach flower remedies of Impatiens, Clematis, Rock rose, Star of Bethlehem and Cherry Plum. Comforts, reassures and calms where upsetting news is heard or a startling experience has occurred. |
Dosage: Suck 3-5 pillules in a clean mouth every 15 - 30 minutes initially until the patient is calm, thereafter every 2 - 4 hours according to the response.
Warning: This product contains Arnica Montana. Do not take together with blood-thinning agents e.g. warfarin or heparin as this may result in bleeding.
