Indications: Helps with localised infections of a festering nature e.g. boils & abscesses, whitlows, deep-seated acne pustules (note: acne might get worse before it gets better). This remedy helps to bring to a head any morbid matter such as pus and to localise the infection, preventing spread to other tissue. For chronic leg ulcers, this remedy in conjunction with anti-virabac 1M can be very helpful. Dose 5 mins apart.
Silica, known as ‘the homeopathic surgeon’ will help to push splinters out of the body.

Warning: Not for use in individuals with pacemakers or prostheses such as screws or wires within the body, as they could be rejected. This remedy should also not be used where a middle ear infection is suspected as it could cause rupture of the eardrum.

Gunpowder  Holds and localizes infection, preventing spread to deeper tissue. 
Hepar sulphuris In low potency, useful for suppuration and aids in removal of foreign bodies. Thick, sour-smelling pus, abscesses, putrid ulcers; cracked, chapped skin that may have poor granulation. 
Myristica sebifera This remedy has a marked antiseptic action and hastens suppuration. Useful for ulcerative inflammation, fistulas, carbuncles and general traumatic infections. May help to avoid surgery. 
Silicea  Known as the "body surgeon" this remedy expels foreign matter and foreign bodies e.g. splinters and thorns. Ripens abscesses and boils, promoting suppuration. Useful for types of skin where minor injuries become easily infected. Also good for fistulas, ulcers and cracks on tips of fingers.

 

Dosage: Suck 3 - 5 pillules in a clean mouth every hour until suppuration begins then 3 - 4 times daily until condition is resolved.
