Indications: To be used for serious bites where poisoning and tissue damage may occur. This remedy is purely for initial, interim emergency treatment. Getting the patient to professional medical help is of paramount importance especially in cases of venomous snakebite. Give t.r.s 200C (trauma, rescue, shock) in conjunction with the bites 30C remedy to deal with the shock aspect.

Carbolicum acidum This remedy has anaesthetic and antiseptic properties. Profuse cold sweat; body aches; weak, irregular pulse; respiratory depression, a feeling of narrowness in the chest resulting in yawning with inclination to take a deep breath; drowsiness; patient may have a dusky red face but pale around nose and mouth; blood in urine.
Curare Paralysis of respiratory muscles; foul-smelling secretions.
Echinacea angustifolia Helpful in conditions of blood poisoning and septic conditions.
Elaps corallinus Bleeding from all orifices, dark in colour; profound nervous shock; deathly sickness; foaming at the mouth; trembling limbs and delirium; violent headache; patient feels cold.
Guaco Acts on nervous system. Antidote to stings of scorpions and serpents
Hypericum perforatum The "arnica of the nerves" and thus excellent for injuries and lacerations where exposed nerves cause intolerable pain. Prevents tetanus/lockjaw from punctured or penetrating wounds.
Lachesis Dark blood oozes from wound which turns dusky red or blue; cellulitis with burning skin; trembling and confusion.
Ledum palustre Twitching of muscles near wound; affected parts become purple and puffy. Helps prevent tetanus/lockjaw if given promptly.
Oxalicum acidum Affected part is cold and numb with violent pains and trembling; patient feels weak, and may experience spasms of throat and chest.
Tarentula cubensis Useful in septic conditions such as gangrene. Intense fever and aching numbness; severe inflammation, pain and suppuration of wound; purple colour with burning, stinging pain; paralysis and convulsions.

 

Dosage: Suck 3-5 pillules in a clean mouth every 10 minutes for the first hour, then every 1 – 2 hours for 3 doses. Thereafter, dose every 4 hours until medical treatment can be obtained. In addition, give t.r.s (trauma, rescue, shock) 200C every 15 - 30 minutes for shock.

For spider bites, treat initially with sting 30C. If there is an insufficient response within three doses or the condition worsens, introduce bites 30C.
